Our LPGA Girls Golf Daisy Sunday Afternoon Junior League aims to provide girls and parents with a time to relax, enjoy time together outdoors, and be active and involved in a competition for the child.
You, as a parent, are not limited to the sidelines; you are part of your child's experience. We want you by their side, caddying, helping with play tactics, apart from putting. Speeding up play with course maintenance and just being there for them, encouraging, helping deal with those errant shots, and sharing the joy of the great shots with high fives, as opposed to a clap or thumbs up from the side. These events are for you, too. There is a parent/adult and child Texas Scramble event in September.
Open to children, boys, and girls who love golf and are ready to play on a course length appropriate for their age. THAT'S IT!!
There is no need to worry about -
- having a golf handicap
- being a member of a golf club
- playing at Burghley Park Golf Club.
WE WISH FOR EVERY YOUNG GOLFER TO BE ABLE TO PLAY
The Daisy Sunday Afternoon Junior Golf League, now in its fifth year, was created to allow children to enjoy and progress along their golfing journey. Children love competing; it has its challenges, but as long as winning is kept second to growth and development, everyone is a winner. That's why every competitor receives a medal; there are badges for course records, personal bests and so on.
If the children have fun, meet new friends, and develop as golfers and young people, everyone has had a fantastic Sunday afternoon, once a month.
Every golfer wants to shoot a low score, feel like they can score birdies and a hole-in-one!
With so much golf available for children to view nowadays, we want them to believe they are great golfers. Having to hit shots down the fairway without purpose, I believe, is just plain dull.
We use the American short-course system, as used in the US Kids Golf Championships and Local Tours, and in the PNC Championship on the PGA Tour.
Could 2026 be the year we celebrate outstanding junior golf?
Let the fun begin!
